      What is it?

                             Pure Living Water!

My husband, Orah and I went to Christchurch for a physiotherapy course he was attending. We had the pleasure of staying at a beach house that belonged to some friends who went out of town. Since I was on my own for two days, I decided I was going to write more articles for this site and generally cruise through the days.
On Sunday, there was a knock at the dining room window and there was an elderly man with a big grin on his face staring back at me. I met him at the door and he said he was a friend of the owners and wanted to take a look at a painting job he was to do.  I invited him in for a cuppa and began to be mesmerised by this octogenarian. Davey tells me he has been an athlete all his life and takes a trip abroad to a new country every year on his own to learn new things. He has never drunk alcohol, coffee or smoked. He also has never had to go to the doctor for over 60 yrs. Initially, in his early teens, he was diagnosed with tuberculosis with a peritonitis complication and they said he wouldn't live long. It miraculously cleared up and he never looked a doctor in the face again. Another thing he does is that he keeps his mind active learning and creating new things. He keeps current with the news of the world and admits to being a happy person. No matter what goes on, like getting his bikes stolen, (7 of them over time) he just moves on. In his late eighties now, he is just starting to get some arthritis in his left knee and has stopped running for awhile until he gets to the root of that. What an inspiration!

Good clean living...is what I hear! This is what I have been slowly transitioning my life to over the last 20 yrs and I have a lot to do yet to catch up with Davey. I would like to share with you the different ways we can purify our lives to give us the best possible chance to live a strong and healthy life. Now, this does not mean we cannot have wine, chocolate or laze about when we want. It just means becoming aware of the ways in which our bodies become toxic with environmental substances and choose the ones we can do something about easily. For the most part, our bodies are supposed to be able to handle these toxins and delete them from our systems. But what has happened is that these toxins have become more complicated and harmful and numerous over the decades to the tune of 12 million synthesized chemical compounds by 1993. Big corporations only make compounds they are going to use in some way. These chemicals have found their way into everyday items like furniture, carpets, toothpaste, shampoo, clothing, food etc. By starting to read labels  we can start to make different choices in the products we buy and improve the efficiency of our bodies' systems to keep ourselves and families healthy. There are lots of other aspects we can bring light to... so lets explore those too.

I do not want to be a scaremonger here but it is best not to pretend it is not affecting you, because it is. If you want a better quality of life well into your later years, or even right now, start educating yourself about purer living. You will not believe how much fun it can be discovering new, tastier, cheaper, easier ways to getting your everyday needs taken care of. You will also love how you are the one who is making the difference with your new found passion and sharing this with your friends and families. Some of you may have already started making some changes. I would love to hear about those and how you feel it has helped you. Please leave a comment. I get inspired by other people's sharing and it also guides me about what you want to know more about. I always learn new ways of enjoying a purer life by reading comments people have left in the various forums, blogs and sites. We all benefit by each others' experiences.
